i would like to try my cat on this food iv tried everything i can think of
I have a kitten with chronic diarrhea..I would like to try an easily digestible food.
I am very interested in starting my cat, Omar on the Natures Variety today…immediately! As soon as I can find out where I can purchase it. Omar is almost 14 yrs young. I noticed a few months ago that he was starting to lose weight and some diarrhea but wasn’t sure who had the diarrhea since he shared litter boxes w/Otis. Omar kept getting thinner and thinner and we got him in the vet and she examined him and & his overall exam seemed fine. She wasn’t sure what was causing the wght loss and diarrhea so she did some blood work and found all the levels were fine except 1 was a hair high ( what I mean is that the chart showed one block into the higher range than normal) it was the pancreas. She suggested she give him a steroid shot and see how he is in a few days….but she also said to call her in two weeks and tell her how Omar is doing. Well, we took him to the vet on Wed aft and it is now Sunday morning and he is NO better. We told her he would only eat some canned food lately that he would not even look @ his dry food (Iams) which he use to gobble up and then head to Ottis’s dish to help him finish his. The vet said continue on the canned food to @ least getting him to eat and to get a dry food that had more natural ingredients and no corn, wheat or beef in the ingredients. So we found that Iams had a grain free naturals dry food w/chicken + salmon recipe, he wants nothing to do w/it. He has only eaten a little canned food in the past few days and within 5-10 min after he eats a little he is in the litter box w/exploding diarrhea. Last night we had grilled some chicken and I took a breast and cut it up in small pcs and made some white rice & mixed a little together to see if he’d eat that. He ate about 10 small pcs of chicken and then just laid down like he has been doing w/no energy. I am more than eager to find a resolution to help my cat eat and be alert and lively again….I am more than desperate to help my most loving cat Omar to come back to me. He looks skinny & boney and I thght the vet was gonna put him down last Wed when we took him in…..but a steroid shot & basically call me in 2 weeks and let them know how he’s doing….by then he’ll have starved & dehydrated. I need help so desperately with my Omar to eat & live!!
